Texas LASIK Resources

Texan’s have Texas pride, and it’s no different when it comes to their pride in eye care.  There are many resources in Texas for LASIK surgical and other non-surgical vision correction treatments.  LASIK is still widely used as a surgical vision correction procedure, and in short it is performed on the cornea with the intent to decrease a person’s dependence of contact lenses and glasses.  LASIK stands for “Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis,” and with favorable results, the LASIK procedure will allow patients to improve light focus on the retina and eliminate refractive errors such as (nearsightedness) myopia, astigmatism, and farsightedness (hyperopia).

Among the many Texas eye care providers, Dr. Taylor R. Brooks and his caring personnel at Brooks Eye Center are knowledgeable of vision correction procedures, including LASIK and the non-surgical alternative Ortho-K.  In fact, Doctor Brooks is an expert with Ortho-K and consults other vision correction providers.  Ortho-K procedure provide great results for patients similar to LASIK, and the best part is it is done while sleeping every night!  For more information on Ortho-K or the LASIK procedures, please contact a member of the Brooks Eye Center staff.
